COURTNEY + PAUL // MEXICO PROPOSAL

honestly, I'm not sure where to start. my husband and I met Courtney + Paul in early 2017 and quickly became close. after shortly realizing how much we absolutely love each other, we decided to plan a trip to Cabo together - but ding ding! Paul takes the cake on this trip because he had a secret proposal planned for Courtney. what is more romantic than that? go ahead... I'll wait.

a little bit about Courtney + Paul; they've been together for almost 10 years at this point, they just moved into their very own place together, and they reeealllyyy love their cats, Hamlet + Houdini. Houdini likes to smoke cigarettes, but that's beside the point. Courtney had NO idea this was going to happen, but we all did. I even had to take her out one night for dinner and shopping (like, 4 hours of shopping) so Paul can go to her parents house and ask for her hand in marriage.

fast forward to august 2017, we fly into Mexico and get to our hotel rooms and I call Paul and ask, we doing this? he said "yes, we need to go now. I think I'm going to have a heart attack." HA! so the plan was to walk down to our private beach and have them snap a couple photos of my husband and I as a decoy and when it was their turn, Paul would pop the (way overdue) question. "your turn" I said while giving Paul THEE look. Paul pretty much immediately got down on one knee, I could barely snap a photo beforehand. I'm going to go ahead and guess that he was anxious?? Courtney was in complete shock, as you can tell from the photos below. she kept saying things like, "are you sure?" and "oh my god, I have to call so many people!". we continued the trip with the most expensive Japanese meal we'll probably ever eat, karaoke, sailing, snorkeling and jet skiing on the Pacific Ocean. it was pretty much the best vacation ever.
